Excel Tradeworks is a Sydney based company providing specialist trade services for commercial office fitouts as well as residential projects.
They had previously worked with an agency which had developed their site on Adobe Business Catalyst. The site was slow with unoptimised images and no basic SEO resulting in high bounce rates. On average this site took 30 seconds to load on mobile devices which resulted in frustrated visitors who just abandoned their visit - and ultimately leads being lost.
We migrated Excel Tradeworks website from Adobe Business Catalyst. With the end looming for Business Catalyst as it has been put into an end of life program, all users have to migrate their content.
The site needed to move to a new platform that was easy to use, was responsive to screen size and didn't need to have constant plugin upgrades like WordPress. It also had to have a CMS feature and no unnecessary features to create unnecessary code to slow down the site speed - for example the site doesn't need an ecommerce engine.
We developed a site framework that helps a visitor easily find what they are looking for and then also know what the next steps are. We undertook all the copywriting for the site to ensure a client focus and clear messages including updates for case studies and blog posts.
Through careful optimisation, we were able to decrease the average page load times across the site by 33%. On mobile platforms, the site load time was decreased by over 50% helping to reduce the bounce rates. We continue to optimise the site to ensure high conversion on pages.
We also optimised the content to ensure it ranked organically on search engines for relevant keywords - not just the company name. We increased click through from organic search by 285% and continue to ensure that the site ranks well.
We help Excel Tradeworks with creating a content plan with tactics for delivery across relevant channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Google My Business as well as through email campaigns and offline tactics like brochures and presentations. Each communications touch is developed with a clear purpose and message for the audience.
Prospect lists are also developed to help the Excel Tradeworks team to find relevant contacts to approach for potential opportunities. Messaging is created that is relevant to each list.
